If you are not going to be traveling in your RV during the upcoming winter, you will want to make sure that you are doing everything you can to store it properly. This way, it will be kept in a safe location and it will be ready to come once it is time to bring it back out in the summer. Find A Shelter For It
This is especially important if the region you live in gets a lot of snow or ice. By sheltering your RV, you will find that you will not have as many problems with issues such as a cracked windshield from the extreme temperature from the snow or ice. You will also be able to easily access all parts of the RV should you need to check on it or retrieve something from it during the winter. Without the shelter, your RV could be covered in a lot of snow or ice at the worst possible time. Therefore, you will want to look for one of the best large carports for sale. Remove All Traces Of Food
Even if there are some unopened boxes of dried goods that are not going to expire anytime soon, you will want to make sure that you are removing them from the RV once it goes into storage. The reason for this is because that food will likely attract rodents. Those rodents will chew their way into your RV in order to get the food, which will leave a considerable amount of damage that you will have to deal with before using it again.
Take The Tires Off
You will want to remove the tires from the RV so they do not rot out or deflate from sitting in one place for a few months. Simply jack up the RV, remove the tires, and as you remove each one, place the RV on secured blocks. The other option, if you don't want to remove the tires, is to return to the RV every couple of weeks and move it around the parking lot or drive it up and down the road. This will keep the tires in good shape and will prevent them from continuously resting on the same exact spot at all times.
